PSPP binary packages

PSPP is a program for statistical analysis of data. PSPP can perform several data transformation (including recoding, weighting and handling of missing values), compute descriptive statistics (frequencies, descriptive statistics), compute crosstabs and explore tables, T-tests (one sample T-test, independent samples T-test, paired samples T-test) and one-way ANOVA, bivariate correlationlinear regression, factor analysis (Principal Component Analysis and Principal Axis Factoring), Chronbach Alpha (reliability measure), ROC curve and some non-parametric tests (Chi-square and Binominal).

PSPP supports over 1 billion cases and over 1 billion variables, syntax and data files are compatible with SPSS, it is cross platform and Free Software, licensed under GPLv3 or later. You can run PSPP command line interface (pspp) or graphical interface (psppire). The official PSPP website is located at http://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/.

PSPP source code is available in two branches:

• stable branch, which is stable and thoroughly tested, but does not has some new functions;
• master branch contains the latest development, with more functions, but is not so stable and tested as stable branch yet.

PSPP on a live CD
You can test PSPP on a live Linux CD. Simply download ISO image, burn it to CD (usually you need a special application to burn), put CD in your CD drive, restart your computer and that is it. Since PSPP is free software, you can burn as many copies as you want and pass the CD to as many people as you like.

Download PSPP live CD Linux live CD from March 2010. PSPP 0.7.0. Must be run from command line (psppire).

Ubuntu binary packages
Stable version of PSPP (0.6.x) is available from the Ubuntu Universe package server (Karmic Koala and Lucid Lynx version). Master branch packages with more functions for Ubuntu Karmic and Ubuntu Lucid are available from Jure Čuhalev's PPA PSPP repository at Launchpad.

Latest version is PSPP 0.7.5 from July 6^th 2010.

You can also install PSPP from System - Administration - Synaptic Package Manager and search and select package pspp.

Windows binary packages (Windows Xp or newer) for master branch
The latest Windows binaries are available from http://pspp.awardspace.com/, however, we provide mirror copies of the Windows install packages.
